Last week I went to see the new Tony Jaa movie Ong Bak II. I have heard about its production for quite sometime. This movie was also the first movie directed by Tony Jaa. So, I was really looking forward to it.

If have seen Ong Bak 1 before, you would agree with me that it was a big hit. The producer invest a lot more budget in this second one. After few minutes past, you will see that this movie is big and serious.

I wont be a spoiler here so I will only talk a bit about the story. Ong Bak 2 is in between a period and fantasy movie. The story went back to hundreds of years, in the final period of Sukhothai.

Before the movie started, I was thinking “What Muay Thai moves is left for him to use? We have seen loads of Muay Thai moves from his Ong Bak 1 and Tom Yum Goong”. Thirty minutes have past, I got the answer. This time he is not doing only Muay Thai moves, he used so many Martial Arts such as Kung Foo, Wrestling, Samurai, Nunchaku etc. As you can expected, he did very well. Some Thai critics made joke that this movie is an advertorial for Tony Jaa’s martial arts school.

OK, nothing I can say more. So, you have to see it for yourself.
